Miami, FL- HG Contemporary is pleased participate in the Scope Miami Beach 2019, at booth B23. The fair will run from December 3rd through the 8th.
With a booth exhibiting a wide array of artworks by contemporary masters such as Damien Hirst, emblematic blue-chip pieces by renowned names, and selected works by some of our HG artists, like Susan J. Barron and Paolo Pelosini. The curation connects pivotal artists from the past 50 years with their rising counterparts at HG Contem-porary. The gallery is unveiling never before seen paintings by Richard Hambleton directly from the artist’s studio, including iconic works from the 80’s, his most important years. Andy Warhol’s Gun, a quintessential silkscreen that defines Warhol’s obsession with death after being shot by Valerie Solanas, depicting the same .32 handgun Solanas shot him with; which has been exhibited at the Tate in London, and auctioned at Phillips, and is the centerpiece of the booth. Featured also are two paintings by German artist Karen Shahverdyan, whose eerie portraits of beach scenes present to the viewer a sentimentalism that is visionary in the foreground of Miami. For our 7th year at Scope, we are located at Booth B23, across from the VIP lounge, following the opening of our new gallery in New York, a 7000 sq ft industrial space in the Roc Nation building in Chelsea.
