This week, guests came to celebrate and experience the signature Mccreedyblue artworks of South African painter Conor Mccreedy at HG Contemporary in New York City. His paint splashed literally out the door of the gallery onto the sidewalk inviting guests into see his solo exhibition of paintings.
Conor is known for his trademarked color "Mccreedyblue," which he says is inspired by the South African "cobalt skies that meet the powerful Indian and Atlantic oceans, filled with endless shades of blue." This solo exhibition is focused on textured monochromatic abstract splash and figurative paintings and will be on display through July 20th at HG Contemporary New York.
A limited edition archival print of his painting Frozen in Time on handmade paper will also be featured in the show.
